JASIC-8000, Powered by Niagara 4

The JASIC-8000 is a BACnet supervisory controller with onboard web server, built on the Tridium® Niagara 4 Framework, providing IoT functionality and open systems interoperability through a powerful application framework supporting industry standard open protocols including BACnet™, LON™, Modbus, oBIX and more. With robust performance, and new features in Niagara 4 including HTML5 views, charting and data visualization, a common design language, better reporting, robust security and improved device management, the JASIC-8000 controller offers excellent performance as a BACnet supervisory device and system front end for small to mid-size solutions.

The Tridium Niagara 4 marketplace includes accessories for connecting to LON networks, and Niagara drivers that smoothly integrate to many legacy building automation protocols, enabling seamless visibility and control of diverse networks and mechanical systems from a JASIC-8000 or Niagara Web Supervisor instance.

The device is often installed as the supervisor in a BACnet network, hosting a graphical user interface for end-users and technicians to view and control a building or facilities. In addition to drivers and interfaces for a wide variety of protocols, JASIC device accessories include plug-in I/O expansion modules and remote I/O modules.

All JASIC-8000 devices include a licensed copy of the exclusive ASI IntelliTASC Niagara Workbench plug-in automation module to speed up and simplify device setup, configuration and commissioning, as well as a removable micro-SD card with 4GB of system storage and 2GB of user storage.

The device offers standard Wi-Fi with enhanced wireless capability to interact with a wide range of wireless sensors and devices on common protocols. The JASIC-8000 can also be configured to serve as an access point so mobile and other devices can quickly connect to access system information and view rich, animated 3D graphics.

The JASIC-8000 features a bold and intuitive new interface. Modern and easy to use, the platform utilizes HTML5 to provide an array of rich features. A powerful new UI framework makes the user experience simpler and more robust, giving users maximum control of their data and decisions. New features include a built-in search function, customizable charting and visualization, role-based security, real-time troubleshooting and rapid navigation. The JASIC-8000’s use of HTML5 provides a user interface that makes it easier for system integrators to create and maintain customized views for end users.
