ASI Monitor is designed to collect and log alarm and event information from ASI control systems. Most often installed as a component of the ASI WebLink Suite, the software can also be installed standalone to provide monitoring with automated alarm and event notifications.

ASI Monitor can be configured to forward alarm and event notifications to an individual or a group of individual recipients. Delivery options include notification via numeric pager, cell phone, and/or e-mail. Support for fax notifications is available on Windows XP computers.

The software captures incoming alarms and events and displays them in a sortable table. Event or alarm properties such as timestamp and data value are available by double clicking on list entries. Alarms and events can optionally be logged to a local or network printer as they are received. A single instance of Monitor can track alarms and events from many different project sites. Details are stored in a Microsoft Access database so you can do additional processing or analysis of the raw data.

Access is password protected. User logins can be created with any of five pre-defined levels of security priveleges, ensuring that users have the type of access appropriate to their situation.

ASI Monitor was developed to work in conjunction with ASI Visual Expert and ASI WebLink. ASI Monitor reads the Visual Expert projects database. Monitor users can launch ASI Visual Expert with a mouse click, and Expert will connect to the appropriate project so the root cause of an alert can be determined.

Monitor logs user access attempts and user actions in the application. The log is stored in an Access database file. Monitor has a built-in Web Server to display a history of current and historical events/alarms for any project, with access to event/alarm details.
