ASI Controls Showing New BACnet Interface and
Unified Intelligent Building Front End at AHR Expo 2009

San Ramon, CA, November 12th, 2008 – ASI Controls will be showing new energy management and control solutions and a new BACnet system interface in booth #3815 at the upcoming AHR Expo 2009 in Chicago, IL.

The ASI booth will feature a live demonstration of a unified web front end seamlessly integrating HVAC and EMS monitoring and control screens, ASI ZoneDial tenant afterhours management software, and CCTV, DVR, and access control web servers to provide a comprehensive and secure remote control for intelligent buildings.

“We are excited to be showing our new BACnet/IP System Interface at the ASHRAE show. The BACport adds new interoperability options to complement our support for OPC and Modbus,” stated Dr. Mashuri Warren, ASI Controls Director of Product Development. “This makes it easier to incorporate ASI Controls into a building control system using a BACnet front end. For other applications, ASI WebLink software conveniently integrates monitoring and control of OPC-enabled DDC systems and web-enabled building interfaces into a single front end.“

“A building automation system with a unified web interface represents the brains and nervous system to intelligently manage energy use in a building,” explained Francis Chapman, ASI Controls Marketing Director. “If building engineering and support staff have to access each building system interface seperately using different logins and passwords it slows them down. At the other end of the spectrum, tenants want to control schedule and setpoints and to manage access to afterhours lighting and conditioning without having to involve building management every time a change is needed.”

“People are comfortable managing services online, and the unified front end is the missing link that gives users visibility and control of ‘their’ building, while also helping management to balance comfort, convenience and cost savings,” continued Mr. Chapman. “The ASI Controls integrated solution enables scheduling of energy use with accountability, can reduce building engineering and management support requirements, and simplifies energy cost recovery.”

ASI Controls provides state of the art digital controls to manage, monitor, and control building environments.  ASI Controls products operate and monitor facilities around the world, including nationwide property networks, commercial and industrial buildings, shopping malls, hospitals, and educational campuses, and as original equipment in Chillers and other HVAC equipment.
